I meditated for the first time in many months.
This is notable because I consider myself a Zen Buddhist and daily meditation is at the heart of the discipline, but whateverdiscipline just ain't my thing.
One thing that upsetting for me I found out over the weekend: Sufis, my healer mentor told me, don't consider Buddha a prophet; they claim his teachings are all concerned with consciousness and not with God. And that's sad, but I believe I can understand where they're saying. Now I don't claim anyone to be a prophet, right now, but I know living as a Zen Buddhist is a large part of my path.
Now, since I'm on the topic, I'll try to inspire you with a brief story. . .
I FOUND JESUS IN A WORD IN A BOOK ON A TRAIN GOING TO PITTSBURGH.
THE WORD WAS "DESIRELESS" AND THE FEELING WAS SOMETHING LIKE RIDING A BICYCLE SUCCESSFULLY FOR THE FIRST TIME.
I TAKE THIS FEELING TO MEAN “GETTING SOMEWHERE WITHOUT FALLING OVER.”
