Aww man. The big reason I wanted wifi in an ipod was to get my latest podcasts without itunes. But it looks like RSS is not a planned feature. Only the ability to purchase music?|
But if I end up getting Mr. Touch, I can find out what song is playing in the Starbucks that I never ever go into.
Oh you poor people . . . enslaved to the whims of macintrash.
May I present my ipod killer:Cowon A3
Isn't it cute? kootchie kootchie koo . . .
Why after I make fun of Apple, do you make fun of me?
LOL. I didn't get the impression you were making fun of apple, just griping. Also, making fun of people who use macintrash is a knee jerk reaction of mine. It wasn't meant to personal, but more directed at anyone who invests in a company who screws their constituency . . . iphone anyone? LOL.
Forgive my rotten (apple) attitude but ever since my brother bought a 4000$ laptop because it WAS REQUIRED BY THE SCHOOL, and then apple wouldn't do anything about it when it broke shortly after being bought . . . well . . . forgive me when I laugh in the general direction of all mac related griping.
Besides, I am still very bitter Apple bought Shake and is slowly driving it into the ground. Not to mention all the other mac related disasters over the years. Have you seen the "mitchell and webb" mac switch ads? They are a riot.
Like I said in the last message, my caustic attitude towards mac sometimes gets the better of me.
I would like to state for the record:
Adding BSD was the best move they ever made.
For better or worse, Final Cut Pro is now rivaling avid as the standard for video editing.
The ipod (and Bill Gate's funding) is what saved Mac from going out of business years ago.
The mac mini (duo 2 core of course) is a very tempting solution for a HTPC enthusiast.
If I was a linux geek / programmer I would probably hate mac a little less.
Itunes is a resource hog which should die and go to hell . . . oh . . . I was supposed to be positive. Right. ummmm . . . Itunes has made buying music online possible for my grandmother and any other less tech savvy person. Recently they have relented on the drm thing and now make drm free songs available at higher price. How kind of them. Oh yeah . . . fuck the aac/mp4 default encoding itunes uses. Damn - couldn't stay positive for long I guess.
Do you know how Last.fm has been able to avoid the recent internet radio rulings? They seem unaffected, but I haven't looked into it much.
