Death of My Dog

My dad just called and said they're putting Chocolate Mousse "Cocoa" Haas, the family dog, to sleep tomorrow. It's something I came to terms many, many months ago when she started suffering in terrific ways (not being able to walk or control her bodily functions). But I will really miss her—she's the only dog I know.

We got her before I had even started elementary school. And picking her up from a horse farm is one of the earliest memories I have. Fighting with my brother to name her Cocoa, after my favorite beverage at the time, and being tackled by her rambunctious farther. And though she's very old now, but she will always be that cute chocolate lab puppy running around the backyard in my memory. (I could probably dig up the Beta of that.)

We wish you all the best running around in puppy heaven.
