Oh, okay!

This is what I suspected.

Well, I am watching old Russian cinema as background for my soundtrack project on a Fischer vs Spassky game.

It hasn't gotten very far, but the absolute highpoint has been The Sacrifice. That was just such a damn amazing and literally uncompromising film.

I haven't seen the sacrifice. I've seen several Tarkovsky films, and I do want to see them all.
I haven't yet seen any from the period when he had moved to Sweden.

Tarkovsky is definitely the giant in Russian film after the golden age.
