Emily and I just went to Zen Zero, the cheap asian place. We started off with some fried calamari, that I ended having to eat on my own. She got a guava vodka martini with Absolut; I got a dry vodka martini with Grey Goose. She got pad thai; I got chicken thukpa.

We also went to Love Garden, the good local music store. It was my first time there and it is definitely one of the more fun selections I've ever seen. Simultaneously small and totally respectable.

So I bought a 12" of Yesterday's New Quintet's Stevie. And I was really tempted to buy that Cat Power DVD where she's just standing barefoot in a grassy clearing in the woods singing and playing an electric guitar for two hours... but I got to save up the disposable for the Built to Spill and The Kills shows coming up later this month.

Also I'm sure Emily's going to drag me to The Decemberists around that time.... 'k, back to slacking off.

I have a question. What is a dry vodka martini? I thought a dry martini was when you make it with gin instead of the natural choice of vodka. but I don't really know much about martinis.

also, Grey Goose is in the top three of my favorite vodkas list.

More vodka / gin, to my understanding.
