In a month, I'll be in a state that respects George W. Bush and recently decided to ammend the State Constitution to exclude everything but heterosexual, monogamous marriage.

Now the city I've lived for the last 2 years, Arcata, California, has its own community currency and its city council has been majority green since like 1997.

So I'm thinking it's going to be very, very, very different if I ever get out of the city of Lawrence.

Oh, excitement.

I have whole 'nother life ahead of me.

Don't forget the whole not-teaching-evolution thing, too.

Don't forget, we'll also be a stone's throw away from the Westboro Baptist Church of God Hates Fags fame.

But Lawrence is a nice little oasis. At least from first impressions, I liked it better than Arcata.
