Also, I found out that the most famous Nathanael (aka Bartholomew) is one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ. In fact he was likely named Jesus too, but changed it for obvious reasons. Interestingly, he is credited as introducing Christianity to Armenia with Saint Jude.

He is believed to have been flayed alive and crucified upside down in Armenia. And because of this, he has become the patron saint of tanners.
