microsoft eat it.
i am now the proud owner of an amazingly fast computer.
Although the cpu speed is not blazing (P4 2.4MHz)
all my geeks, check this out:
1GB DDR RAM
36GB Serial ATA W.D. Raptor with just amazing access speeds
800MHz FSB CPU and what I think is Intel's best board now, the D875PBZ
and some $100 ASUS GeForce FX board too.
I am as happy as a clam, beside myself.
See what was wrong with my computer was that I was doing a clean install of XP.
XP was made in 2001. My computer was made in 2003.
So I had to use a secret code combo (Shift+F11) just before the bulk of the install process, and run conspicuously placed .exe's off the CD that came with my motherboard to upgrade the mini-version of XP that was gonna install the rest of it.
And it worked.
And I've won.
And I will now breathe cause it's been a hard week dealing with this unknown hardware error shit with no one to point the way back to hope.
Now I am super glad.
So please God, let me enjoy this for a period of time.
heh, this is so cool!!
