I feel the friends to friends of ratio are the weird approximate measurement of how nice and outgoing you are to how popular or interesting you are, in other words, the asshole gauge.

So maybe because I don't want seclude myself statistically or not reciprocate someone's attempt to share their journal/life/online friendship with me or just not be an asshole, I usually try to keep these about equal.

Sometimes this means just joining a few communities, but that becomes obvious by simple subtraction.

89 friends of to 90 friends - 16 watched communities = 74 actual friends.

So it appears that I'm dicking over at least 6 people there, but really a fair number of those 74 actual friends are people I found really interesting, but stopped writing sometime last year.

Chances are they won't be picking up the habit again, so it becomes apparent that I list them as a friend just to lower my asshole gauge.

That's what I was talking about before. And lord, I am so fucking tired right now.
