You bought a house? Cool!

(Why does it have a dropped ceiling? I've never seen that in residential units.)

Nope, renting. But it's just me and Sam for a change.

I can't wait to rip the ceiling down. The house is so old (1880) that I had to put 1900 into the renter's insurance form to get past the error checking. There's all manners of bullshit, halfass repair jobs I can level up my dyi skills on.

And this is kind of a preview of the renovation process as we're not moving in until tomorrow. (Read: Management companies typically leave doors unlocked.)

yikes!

good god!
The sad thing is this house would still cost 450,000 in san jose (man I should show you the horrific photos from houses when I was looking.)
Does this one have a working toilet in a bedroom closet?
