Fascinating. It's actually a little surprising to me, given the failure of police/courts/government in some neighborhoods, that a legal defense that invoked the invalidity of the courts hasn't come up before. As your other post showed, people all over don't have particularly high respect or trust in government authority, and I could see someone saying the justice system has abdicated its role and has no right to assert johnny-come-lately authority.
