Favorite misunderstood jargon of the moment...

There's this Sun Microsystems Solaris computer by the window in my office.

Being a little too much of a geek, I referred to it as the 'sun box by the window'.

When my coworker heard this, they imagined a parallel universe where an artificial sun is trapped in a box attached to the window providing many of the benefits of a Sun.


People are always hearing better things than what I've said or meant.

I would have said a nouveau tanning device but yeah . . . ;-)
BTW - Black Moth Super Rainbow is amazing.
I just missed them and Blockhead and Aesop Rock and I am bereft. (Does anyone use that word anymore? Bereft . . .?)
I should have just taken a bunch of decongestants and sucked it up. Oh well . . . mebbe next time.

Such boxes exist, in a manner. Particularly for high-latitude locations, where seasonal depression is linked to sun exposure. For example, SunBox.com
